The role of ZAZA TIMBER Engineering in this project:
- Structural design development of load bearing structures;
- Detail drawings.
The load-bearing structures of the building are solved with a post and beam glulam system. The floor uses thin CLT panels on which a floating concrete floor is formed to provide the necessary comfort to the users. CLT internal walls and cores ensure the global stability of the building. The system used in the building has a relatively small distance between elements lengthwise, which allowed the use of slender load-bearing structures in form of both glulam elements and CLT panels. The challenge for slender structures is to create hidden connections between the members.
The foundations are designed as an insulated reinforced concrete slab foundation solution.
The load-bearing structures of the building were designed for use of prefabricated panels in the exterior walls.
