ZAZA TIMBER finishes assembly of a 65-metre long timber bridge in Sweden

24.02.2023.

Our first construction project in Sweden was a timber bridge. The 65-meter long timber bridge over the Tinnerbäcken in Linköping is designed for pedestrians and cyclists. The opening is planned for July.

We finished the assembly in February. The general contractor NCC will further cover the bridge deck with asphalt, install lighting, do landscaping.

ZAZA TIMBER manufactured glulam structures and assembled the timber structure of the bridge. Part of the assembly was done in Latvia — the 29.5-meter long sides of the bridge were transported to construction site already assembled.

The sides and supports of the bridge were made of 84 m3 glulam produced in ZAZA TIMBER factory in Latvia. The deck was made of 40 m3 CLT. 11.53 tons of steel parts manufactured in Sweden were used to join timber structures.
